On March 4, 2025, the Solo Leveling anime website revealed a sneak peek for Season 2, Episode 10 titled "We Need a Hero". This episode will air on March 9, 2025 at 12 AM JST and will be available on Crunchyroll. As the series gets hotter this episode will have a lot of plot twist and character development.

Recap of Previous Episode

In the previous episode we saw a big plot moment. Sung Jinwoo used the Elixir of Life to revive his mom from the Eternal Slumber, a state she was in for a long time. This heartwarming moment not only shows Jinwoo’s growth as a person but also sets up his role as a son and a hunter.

Meanwhile, Korean and Japanese Hunters Associations were preparing for the 4th Jeju Island Raid, and Jinwoo got invited to join. But before he could respond, the two factions got into a fight. Park Jongsoo, the Guild Master of the Knights Guild and Hanekawa, the translator of the Japanese Hunters Association got into an argument. This argument turned into a challenge by Goto Ryuji and ended up into a 4 vs 4 battle to test the S-Rank Hunters of both countries.

Episode 10: Key Highlights and Expectations

Sung Jinwoo’s Entrance
The preview for episode 10 shows that Sung Jinwoo will be intervening in the S-Rank Hunter battle royal. The friendly match that was supposed to be a test of strength is going to get out of hand. The preview hints that one of the S-Rank Hunters will exceed the bounds of a friendly competition and will create a dangerous situation that needs Jinwoo’s interference. This is highlighting Jinwoo’s new role as a protector not just of his family but of the hunter community as well.

Sung Jinwoo vs Goto Ryuji
One of the most anticipated parts of this episode is the Sung Jinwoo vs Goto Ryuji confrontation. When Goto enters the arena, he misjudges Sung Jinwoo as an Assassin-type Hunter and is surprised when he finds out that Sung Jinwoo is a Mage-type Hunter. This adds an interesting layer to their dynamic as Goto is interested in Sung Jinwoo because of his abilities and status as Korea’s 10th S-Rank Hunter.

Episode 10: Key Highlights and Expectations

Fans can expect a big fight between Sung Jinwoo and Goto Ryuji. Jinwoo’s combat skills and strategic thinking will be on full display. The battle will show Jinwoo’s growth as a hunter as he has to balance asserting himself while also thinking about the bigger picture of the Korean and Japanese hunters. Will he fight Goto at full strength or hold back? That’s the internal struggle between his personal ambition and the responsibility he carries.

Declining the Jeju Island Raid Invitation
Sung Jinwoo will likely decline the invitation to the 4th Jeju Island Raid. This is because he wants to take care of his newly awakened mom and prioritize his family over the upcoming battle. This decision will not only show Jinwoo’s growth as a character but also the theme of family throughout the series. It will raise questions about the sacrifices hunters have to make and the personal costs of their choices.

4th Jeju Island Raid
Now the 4th Jeju Island Raid will finally start. The plan is to have Goto Ryuji and the Japanese S-Rank Hunters create a diversion to distract the Ants, while the Korean S-Rank Hunters infiltrate the Ants’ nest and face off the Ant Queen. From the preview it looks like everything is going according to plan thanks to Goto Ryuji and team.

This raid is a crucial point in the story as it will test the skills and teamwork of the hunters and set the stage for future conflicts and alliances. The dynamics between the Korean and Japanese hunters will be more shown and the outcome of this raid will have big implications for the story.

Conclusion

Episode 10 of Solo Leveling is going to be wild. Action, emotional depth, character development. Sung Jinwoo is going to navigate his relationships and responsibilities and we get to see a mix of intense battles and heartwarming moments. It’s gonna explore heroism, sacrifice and family and all the action we’ve come to love. Tune in on March 9, 2025 to see what happens in Solo Leveling.
