Yuzvendra Chahal Sparks Curiosity at CT 2025 Final with Mystery Woman
In a major twist during the 2025 Champions Trophy final in Dubai, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen in the stands with a mystery woman and the troll fest was all over social media. The match between India and New Zealand was already a big one, but Chahal’s presence with the unknown woman added a new plot to the day.
The match was on March 9, 2025. Mitchell Santner won the toss and chose to bat first. It was India’s 15th consecutive ODI loss in the toss and 12th under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Despite the loss in the toss, the Indian bowlers did well and restricted the Kiwis to 251/7 in their 50 overs. Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav were the pick of the bowlers, both picking up 2 wickets each while Daryl Mitchell scored 63 for the Kiwis.
While the match was the main event, Chahal sitting in the stands with a woman (later identified as Mahvash—a radio jockey) caught everyone’s attention. Social media was filled with questions and comments about their relationship. Tweets ranged from asking if Chahal had found a new girlfriend to who was he watching the match with.
But this comes at a time when Chahal is going through a personal crisis as he is currently going through a divorce with his estranged wife Dhanashree Verma. The couple’s separation had been the talk of the town for months on social media but it was only recently confirmed that they have filed for divorce. Reports say the final hearing and legal formalities took place at the Bandra Family Court where both the parties were present. Dhanashree’s lawyer Aditi Mohan said the matter is sub judice and asked the media to not spread unverified information.
Meanwhile rumors were circulating that Dhanashree asked for 60 cr as alimony. But her family rubbished the claims and released a statement slamming the media for spreading false news. They said no such amount was asked or discussed and requested to respect the privacy of all parties involved.
On the other front Yuzvendra Chahal will be playing for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. He was picked up by the franchise for 18 cr in the mega auction held in December last year. He is an important player in the league.
As the cricket world watches the drama unfold around Chahal both on and off the field, fans are waiting to see how his personal and professional life will shape up in the coming months.
